This course is designed to meet continuing education requirements while helping real estate professionals better understand how everyday decisions can create risk in practice. The class will review key concepts from the National Association of REALTORS® Code of Ethics, New York State Real Property Law, and Department of State decisions, with a focus on how these rules apply to real-world situations.

Through discussion, case studies, and practical examples, attendees will explore common ethical challenges, agency obligations, cooperation, documentation, advertising, competency, disclosure requirements, social media, AI, and the importance of working within the scope of a real estate license.

The course is designed for adult learners and uses a variety of teaching methods, including group discussion, case examples, and practical application, to help REALTORS® identify risks, avoid common mistakes, and provide a better real estate experience for consumers.
