Home inspections are a vital part of buying or selling real estate. Two of the top reasons why agents are sued are failing to disclose a property defect and failing to recommend inspections*. In this course, we will explore the purpose of various inspections and their value to both the buyer and the seller. The common types of inspections, who conducts them, and the condition issues likely to affect transactions will be reviewed. Participants will learn the top condition issues that affect VA and FHA financing. We will also discuss best practices to handle inspection contingencies and negotiations and the impact of the various market conditions.

* See you in court! 10 ways agents typically get slapped with lawsuits. - by Ryan Ellis
